Speeding ticket question
So I just got summoned to court for a ticket that happened back in nov/2014.
I plead not guilty the first time and it turns out the officer filed it in the wrong court back in 2014. Can they even still do this? I was told they could refile, after making sure the county he filed it in wouldn’t suspend my license. It’s been 18 months since the ticket, and it’s been about 11 since I had to go talk with the county he filed it in. Please help. Answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Traffic Lawyer Richard Simon’s Answer
If there is no case than do not worry about one. If he is allowed to refile there is certainly a question of statute of limitations. Seems like a lot of work for one sheriff on a traffic ticket
