Is this a legal traffic stop
I was picking my daughter from the light and then went to turkey hill. As we came out there was a cop parked next to me and told me that there was a call that came in about someone trying to lure kids in a van. He then asked for my ID and I told him that i lost my wallet and he asked for my name and birthdate, I then asked him if he needed anything else and he said no. I then got back in the van and backed up still in the parking lot and he left. As he was talking to me he did not get out of his car nor did he put his lights on. Also did not run my info either while I was there. About a week later I got citations in the mail about driving under DUI related suspension. Although my DUI was from 2000 I have 2 more driving under suspenions that was 2 years ago. Because of the way he handled the call and allowed me to leave without looking me up, can he later look me up and send citations, even tho I was in a parking lot.

I agree with the attorneys above, the officer can send you a tickets later. The officer can also perform this stop based on a tip that is given. Since this is a classic stop and not a full search and nothing was really seized from the search, you have no way to really supress the evidence.
