What can be done about my Doctor lying on medical records and falsifying drug use?
I am a patient seen at a Pain clinic for atypical trigeminal neuralgia. After requesting my medical records in order to seek care at Johns Hopkins, I found out the doctors are lying on my records. This started when they switched providers on me without telling me. They have me listed as a drug user, which I have never done any drug that was not perscribed. They also state that I show opiate seeking behavior because I am allergic to the medications normally used and am asking for relief. They did not correctly input my allergies and when I ask for the correction, the Dr. Said it was a “new” allergy list and it conveniently had the meds used for TN on it. They also have gone in and amended many of the chart notes days later. They have made it nearly impossible for me to get proper medical treatment for my condition.

You can sue him for malpractice and your damages are pain and suffering. His defense will be it was his best medical judgment that everything he listed was what a reasonable doctor in his situation would think or was within the reasonable bounds.
