Can i sue a hospital for changing information on a bill to make it look like i received medical services?
So i was sent to collection for a bill that is not mine, i don’t know the person that received medical services, the bill was put under my social but the name on the bill was for a person with a name similar to mine when i called the collection agency they asked me my name and information for proof that it was not mine so i provided that to them over the phone, i was told the information i provided to them was not going to be used against me, a few days after i called back and was told my social was removed from the bills, since collection bills where reported to the under my credit i submitted a dispute that did not go through because collection agency reported to them the bills where mine, so i called the collection agency again and now they are stating information on the bill was changed and it was put under my full legal name and date of birth to make it look like i received the services

I would hire an attorney. This is slander of your credit report and has severe consequences. Time is short on these things. Act quickly.
