I just got out of jail , and i cant get my docs back for my car?

I was arrested for criminal speeding . I got out and since then i have been trying to get my docs for my car which i gave to the officer who arrested me . I have tried calling his dispatch and the sheiffs office numerous times with nothing in hand , this is my fisrt time that i ever have a record like this and i dont know what to do . No one is helping me get back my docs for my car which has been impounded . I need to have plates to get my car out of impound , i cant do that with only copies of my title with me . My original docs are still with the officer who arrested me and i been trying to get hold of him . He has never called back , dont know how many times i have tried calling his dispatch and asking for my docs . My life has been really very down as i have no vechile to travel around with . Please help me out
