I manage a privately owned convenience store and was promoted to salary after 4 1/2 yrs.. Not fully knowing the laws at the time I gladly accepted. I have moved, literally, across the street from my job and now I am called at every little situation from filling in for someone to going in on my days off or working everyday while employers vacation. I have worked 45 days straight before also. It’s nothing for me to pull in a 50-60+ hour week. After a little investigating of my own, what I understood is there is a minimum weekly salary amount ($455)they should pay to avoid o.t. pay.
Also, I go above and beyond what I would say are managerial duties. From checking in deliveries to scrubbing toilets. I just really feel used.

To be salaried in a managerial position there is a threshold of management duties you should be achieving on average and should be receiving the minimum amount of salary at the very least. Without more facts I cannot tell if you are due overtime or not and if there is not a wage and hour violation here. Provide more facts or contact wage and hour. Hire an attorney too to give them the full details.
