I was driving with no insurance and had minor accident. I received ticket for no insurance. Soon after i received collection letter from other driver’s insurance company for $2700! Damage to his car was from previous accident, not from me bumping into him. I have appealed this with DMV in Jefferson City but i havent heard back yet. I went to court 4 times for my no insurance ticket and got continuance each time. I had court date yesterday but i forgot about it and didnt go. Was a warrant issued for my arrest? Should i turn myself in to Clayton if there is a warrant ? I have a spotless record, never been arrested or charged for anything more than speeding tickets (many years ago) till insurance ticket now. I cant afford a lawyer. How should i handle this situation? I do not want to b in holding cell or jail
