Is sending someone emails considered cyberstalking
Well I was recently in jail for 7 months for cyberstalking but when I looked it up online and compared it to my case it didn’t seem like I was cyberstalking anyone.
There was this girl named Araya Nicks who I sent messages to a few times who never replied back but blocked my accounts. The messages weren’t mean in any way nor sexual, when I looked up the elements of stalking online it didn’t seem like I fit the criteria.
The guy they said I was stalking I fit some of the criteria I threatened him saying if he messes with me he’s gonna have to deal with my dad and I called him in a night repeatedly. He told me his name was Joe Jackson in person so when I heard his answering machine say his name was Joe Jackson I was bewildered so I called a few extra times then after I sent him the threatening message.
I’m just really trying to make sense of this

The laws on cyberstalking are pretty open to interpretation. Looks like the judge/jury interpreted against you. Find more case law on your side and you may be able to appeal your situation.
