Sell Property Land

Can I sell this property land that’s in my father’s name? What can I do?

My father deceased 2 years ago & left no will. Come to find out he has property land in another state. There is a delinquent lien on taxes, subject to foreclosing. I have his contract to give deed on this land, that’s in his name. Someone offer to purchase the land. I can’t afford to pay taxes or to keep it. Property was paid in full in cash when purchase. What are my options legally without losing it & getting out of my hands. Am the only sibling & disabled.

Well the land must go through probate first, which should have occurred within a few months of his death. A decision of ownership should have been made then and the estate should have sold the land or used the proceeds from the estate to pay the taxes. The house could be sold in probate and remainder given to you. You need to find out if your fathers estate has gone through probate or not.
