Can I get a no contact order filed by a judge dropped if both the defendant and I want it dropped?
I am a state witness for a homicide case and the judge recently filed a no contact order towards the witnesses and the defendants after 5 months. One of the defendants is my friend and we both want the order dropped, I was told I could file a petition to the judge with the defendant’s lawyer to get it dropped however I wasn’t sure.

This is all up to the judge and how the judge wants the trial to proceed. You are at the mercy of the judge or contempt for you. I would ask and explain your situation, but it is all up to the judge.
